Exoscarne: Assistive Strategies for an Industrial Meat Cutting System Based on Physical Human-Robot Interaction

نویسندگان

چکیده

Musculoskeletal disorders of the wrist are common in meat industry. A proof concept a physical human-robot interaction (pHRI)-based assistive strategy for an industrial cutting system is demonstrated which can be transferred to exoskeleton later. We discuss how robot assist human pHRI, specifically context project i.e developed impedance control-based that enables KUKA LWR provide forces professional butcher while simultaneously allowing motion knife (tool) all degrees freedom. two strategies—a force amplification and intent prediction strategy—and integrated them into controller.

A real-time Human-Robot Interaction system based on gestures for assistive scenarios

Natural and intuitive human interaction with robotic systems is a key point to develop robots assisting people in an easy and effective way. In this paper, a Human Robot Interaction (HRI) system able to recognize gestures usually employed in human non-verbal communication is introduced, and an in-depth study of its usability is performed. The system deals with dynamic gestures such as waving or...

Multimodal Human-Robot Interaction in an Assistive Technology Context

In this paper, we present a prototype robotic system that captures, processes and fuses speech, vision and laser-depth data to more accurately interpret and perform simple tasks in a domestic environment. We can never assume that any one of these inputs are completely accurate, but by using a combination, a more accurate interpretation could be found. For each speech, gesture recognition and ob...

A Template Based User-Teaching System for an Assistive Robot

Demographics issues, characterised by an increasing elderly population, are expected to be a major concern both in Europe and other countries around the world. A proposed cost and care solution to these issues has been suggested that uses assistive robots in ’smarthome’ environments. The deployment of such integrated facilities presents many challenges, one of which concerns the customisation o...

An Experimental Study on Blinking and Eye Movement Detection via EEG Signals for Human-Robot Interaction Purposes Based on a Spherical 2-DOF Parallel Robot

Blinking and eye movement are one of the most important abilities that most people have, even people with spinal cord problem. By using this ability these people could handle some of their activities such as moving their wheelchair without the help of others. One of the most important fields in Human-Robot Interaction is the development of artificial limbs working with brain signals. The purpos...

An Ontology-based Symbol Grounding System for Human-Robot Interaction

One of the fundamental issues in HRI is to enable robust mappings of the robot’s low-level perceptions of the world and the symbolic terms used by humans to describe the world. When a shared symbol grounding is achieved (when human and robot use the same terms to denote the same physical entities) a two way interaction is enabled. This interaction is an important step towards robots assisting h...
